Congratulations Team SuperSibs!! Team members from all over the country met the challenge of walking or running 13.1 miles in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago Half Marathon held on Sunday, August 1, 2010. Currently, Team SuperSibs! has raised over $34,000 which will provide services for 739 children whose brothers and sisters have cancer. Our team has crossed the finish line and is determined to reach their team goal of $45,000. With your help they can! You can still support Team SuperSibs! members by making a donating on your favorite team member’s personal fundraising page. Donations can be made through September 1, 2010.
Thank you to all of our families, friends and volunteers who came out on race day to cheer on our Team. It was an amazing day that we won’t forget!
We encourage you to join in this inspirational event by becoming a member of Team SuperSibs! next year. Whether you are an experienced walker, runner or a novice, we hope you will join our team. SuperSibs! is a nonprofit organization bringing ongoing comfort, recognition and support to children with brothers and sisters who have cancer. No longer are these "shadow survivors" forgotten, and alone as they battle feelings of fear, insignificance, guilt, helplessness, anger and grief. SuperSibs! helps these siblings to redefine the cancer experience to use these life lessons for strength, courage and hope as they move into the future.
